People constantly ask me what are tree braids?
Tree Braids is a technique in which your natural hair is
corn rowed to the scalp and artificial hair is braided into each row to hang
loose. The hair that hangs loose camouflages or covers the corn rows resulting
in the illusion of a completed head of micro braids or full sew in. The
style if looked carefully looks like a tree trunk. The name tree braid is
derived from this fact. This style takes 3- 5 hours to perform. This style can be maintained longer than one
month. If using human hair style will last 6- 8 weeks. If using synthetic hair the style will last 3- 4 weeks. This style requires very little maintenance besides daily
moisturizing to your natural hair if needed. I tell my clients who want the same fullness as micros or a sew-in but don't want to sit for long hours than tree braids are the perfect style.
You can see the corn rows from the front view. Some clients want to have the corn rows showing so that others will know that it is braids.
You can't see the corn rows from the back or side view.
The best hair recommended for tree braids is human hair
because it last the longest but if you are low on cash than synthetic is a good
choice as well. It does not last as long as human but its just as good. The
best brand of synthetic hair is Freetress, Model Model or Batik bulk braiding hair.
